I'm really stoked that my track Splitscreen - A Love Story has been used on the trailer for Men, Women & Children by Jason Reitman (Juno, Up In The Air). Starring Emma Thompson, Jennifer Garner and Ansel Elgort.
Click on the poster below to watch the trailer. Still buzzing here from excitement.. :)
For the London agency Academy Films I've scored two commercials for Aberdeen Asset Management. It needed a very subtle piano based score. Below you can watch the one minute version of 'Greenkeeper'.
Directed by Conkerco.
I've had the privilege to write the music for an ad for the Imperial War Museum created by the prestigious animation studio Aardman. Best known for Wallace & Gromit and Chicken Run.
This beautiful hand drawn animation needed a sensitive but epic British track. It's now online and will be broadcast on the BBC in the coming days and in UK cinemas.

Stella Artois is the sponsor of Wimbledon and for the London-based agency Mother London and Indy8 I've composed the score for this ad. A few weeks after the launch it has already reached 1.8M views!

My apologies for not updating my website in the past few months. I've been very busy lately with various things.
The most important reason was the birth of my son Oliver. Proud as ever of course :)
This new poetic adventure is an homage to the words of H.G. Wells. For PBS Digital Studios James W. Griffiths went on a journey to shoot this short film. For the full experience watch it in HD and you can hear my soundtrack on my playlist or on iTunes. Hope you all enjoy it!
Incredible, our little film Room 8 has won the BAFTA for Best British Short Film! I'm extremely proud to have worked on this film. After already working on some great projects with James, we could never imagine this was going to happen. Click here to watch the 'moment of truth' and James' acceptance speech.
In the beginning of this year Weight Watchers UK launched it's new campagne - Simple Start. For the London based production company Saatchi & Saatchi I composed the music for these adverts aimed for TV, radio and cinema.
Exciting news! Room 8 is nominated for a BAFTA in the category Short Film! Sunday the 16th of February we'll know the outcome but a nomination is already amazing.
Massive congratulations to director James W. Griffiths and 'Independent' producer Sophie Venner!
Over the past 7 years I've had the privilege to work with the amazingly talented people of the animation studio PlusOne Amsterdam. These guys make cutting edge animation work, definitely check them out. Below are some of our latest collaborations.
This is my 2nd price winning entry for the Transatlantyk Film Music competition. Since it's a music competition - the film came without any sound. So everything you hear is my score. I hope you enjoy it!
I'm very pleased to say that I've won the 2nd price at the Transatlantyk Film Music competition!
The jury consisted of top Hollywood composers Marco Beltrami (World War Z, Wolverine, The Hurt Locker), Jan Kaczmarek (Finding Neverland) and others. After watching the entries of the 12 finalists the waiting began. At the gala, that was live broadcasted at the Polish TV, the results were announced.
Here you can see my reaction :)
I'm nominated for this years Transatlantyk Film Music competition! Composers from all around the world had the chance to write a score for two short films. You can find the complete shortlist on the website:
The announcement of the winners will be on the 8th of August in Poznan, Poland. Fingers crossed.. :)
I just finished the score for this great short film. It's a dark comedy (32min) directed by Danny Ormerod starring Elliot James Langridge and Chris Overton.
James Griffiths was one of the five winners of the Bombay Sapphire competition. With this opportunity he made this interesting short film set in a 1970's prison cel. I had the pleasure to work on the subtle score. You can listen to it here.
After doing a full, award winning festival tour it's finally available to watch 'Playing Ghost' online! This NFTS graduation film is a stop-motion animation film directed by the talented Bianca Ansems. I hope you enjoy watching it!

I composed the music for this lovely Irish commercial directed by Sean Branigan and produced by Antidote Films. Enjoy!
For this new year, I revamped my website! The structure is pretty much the same but in my opinion more accessible and much nicer looking :)
For any comments or suggestions drop me a message. Thanks!
I'm happy to announce that I'm associated with a new production company and talent agency called Creative Bench. A very happy New Year! 2012 ended for me with the Channel 4 broadcast of 'How The Snowman Came Back to Life' directed by Liz Unna.
Here you can listen to a selection of my written tracks for the documentary.
Christmas is coming and I'm working on a new documentary about the creator of the legendary 'Snowman'. Raymond Briggs' book without words has been animated around 30 years ago and is shown every Christmas in the UK.
This Channel 4 documentary 'How The Snowman Came Back to Life' is directed by Liz Unna and produced by RareDay. Broadcast date: 30 December!
Airing on Channel 4 (UK) - Thu 25th October 9PM
I just heard that the short documentary 'The Perfect Fit' by Tali Yankelevich is shortlisted for the Oscars! It's up with 7 other documentaries for Best Documentary Short Subject. There will be 3 to 5 films nominated so I guess we'll know more in January!
Update: unfortunately we didn't get the nomination but it's great to be so close..
The documentary I was working on the past two months is all mixed and has its broadcast date! The film is named 'The Town That Caught Tourette's' and will be shown on:
Thursday 25th October at 9pm on Channel 4 (UK), primetime!
"The film tells the story in the small town Le Roy in upstate New York about this sudden phenomenon that a group of teenage girls from the same high school developed symptoms that looked like Tourette's syndrome. As a cry for help, the girls went on national TV and their story caused a global media frenzy."
I wrote the music for this lovely commercial, I hope you enjoy it!
I created the music for this new ad for the Huawei Ascend P1.
